It is vital to support conservation research and education in Africa.
There is almost no such funding available. It is so important to inspire and educate Africans in the value of their immensely valuable and unique heritage which can so easily be lost for ever. Local conservators are always going to more effective than outsiders who are sometimes seen as interfering and seldom appreciate local culture and concerns. It is for this reason that we need international conservationists to work with African conservationists.
